Shrimp!
Excellent local caught seafood. ... Oyster, shrimp, nightly specials. Prices are such that anyone can afford. Best hushpuppies in town.
While I ate supper there, I didn't read the specials...sorry.
No it isnt
Shrimp
This place is super friendly, comfortable, amazing staff, and really great food! I had fried shrimp and it was just how i like them! Kids got tender and macaroni and cheese! And they were freshly made! They were not warm but hot 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 My husband took me and the kids and we ALL loved it! Staff and management are really nice!
Love this mom and pop restaurant, staff is fun, made sure we had everything we needed, food is great and lots of it. Will definitely be going back !!
Great Food at an extremely affordable price. Great friendly staff that is very attentive to the patrons. Food is good and well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Service is incredibly fast and the waitresses are really nice and accommodating to their customers. I can't wait to go back and get the all you can eat shrimp worth every penny.
We love this place breakfast and dinner. The staff at this place are great.
We stopped and had the oyster and shrimp plate + a scallop plate. Oysters were excellent, shrimp were good, Cole slaw, very good, scallops, not very good. Fries were fine, baked potato was OK and hush puppies were excellent! Not a destination stop but definitely a place to stop for lunch. Will go back and try their crab cakes.
Had breakfast. Hash and eggs were perfect. Good sweet tea.
Their all day breakfast was delicious & definitely hit the spot!! Would definitely return just for that! But may venture off the breakfast menue next time
Nice older location, mom and pops style
This was a great little place. Very friendly people, very polite and helpful. The food was great! I had the 2 seafood combo (shrimp and scallops with green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy). It was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked.
Great staff, great food! Good prices, too.
Food was excellent, friendly service, best hush puppies I’ve ever had !! Too bad I live 4 hours away or I would be a regular.
We ate at the Captain’s Table last year on vacation and again tonight. The food was excellent - perfectly crispy, fried seafood. The service was friendly. There was no wait to be seated, and the price was about half what you’d pay at other seafood restaurants in the area. This may be our new favorite vacation seafood spot.
I was kinda upset with our meal. It used to have great food so we tried it today. The food wasn't all that great. First of all the donut was real soft and full of sweet glaze. The home fries were over cooked and really crispy to eat. The gravy biscuits were good but the sausage was little hard balls. I did not enjoy my meal at all, and I had bragged about how good the place was. Sorry. May try it again some other time.
Excellent Food and Service.... One of the few remaining "Mom and Pops" Restaurants on the Crystal Coast that truly have Home Cooked Meals that make you feel happy and give you plenty of food for your money 😉
Great food, friendly staff, outstanding service.
Fantastic restaurant. Great food awesome service. Very affordable.
We wish we would have stopped earlier in our week visit here! The food is great with super service. The menu is inexpensive. Each night there are all you can eat specials.
Unlike many other restaurants they're all you can eat seafood menu is very attractive on a daily basis. I had actually thought Grandma came back to life when I ordered some collards. Best collards on the East coast and beyond I bet.
This family owned diner features meals like your granny would make you. The food is served hot. Yes, straight from the pan to your plate. You can get everything from fried pork chops and hamburger steak to grilled or fried fish, shrimp, oysters, etc. Vegetable offerings are plentiful ranging from creamed spinach( fresh spinach) to fried okra, peas, green beans, baked potato, etc. They have a daily seafood lunch buffet and staff is attentive, friendly and welcoming. If you want fru-fru linen tables cloths & an overpriced menu full of selections you’ve never heard of- go somewhere else. If you want to support local folks who serve great meals at affordable prices- come here.
Good food and service AS ALWAYS. Glad you are back open!!!
New cook needs a lot of training. Cant cook sausage or French toast. Will wait to come back till regular cook is working g or she is better!
I went on all you can eat flounder night. The fish was good, not over cooked. 6 pieces later I was full, the wife got the grilled shrimp. The waitress was very nice and friendly.
Great food and service. Sauteed spinach is awesome.
Nice place to get breakfast and very reasonable.
Food was nothing super special but very good regardless
My family and i where on a vacation at Atlantic Beach. We've been through multiple states beforehand. When we entered the restaurant with our mask on, no one else were wearing mask or taking safety precautions. We kindly said we didn't feel comfortable eating at the place and the host rolled her eyes at us in disgust. My family felt very uncomfortable. The kitchen staff also weren't wearing mask and they didn't have gloves on when preparing food. Worst experience ever.
My family and I have visited this restaurant several times in the last 30 years. My experiences have not always been pleasant so I usually don’t go so often.... but after my lunch experience today, I will go back regularly! They have new ownership and new staff. The dishes were EXCELLENT!!! The BEST food I have ever tasted in the 30 years we have been there. I recommend Captain’s Table to allOf my family and friends!!!! Excellent Service!!!!
Great food , friendly service and you can dine inside.
Five star for a quaint little diner, not a gourmet seafood place! The Google menu is horribly wrong, I have posted pictures of their actual menu. My husband got the fried pork chops, he says they were four star chops, so still pretty good. We also got fried okra, a waffle, french toast, and their crab cake sandwich. The waffle and french toast were good, typical morning breakfast food. The crab cake was surprisingly good! It wasn't so crispy but the flavor was great, it comes as a sandwich but I got it plain and didn't eat the bun, just the cake. The coffee is also good flavor. It is a nice little diner, good prices and good food.
Yummy food. Good service.
Me and the boys just stopped in for a meal after a hard days work. Not only did Bridget take the time to explain to us what was going on and what was the deal of the day.She is the best energetic! I’ve never seen a more fantastic waitress! She should get a raise!
Down home cooking is exactly what you get where the locals go. And this is where you can depend on getting just that! From chicken and pastry, hamburger steak, meatloaf, fried chicken and pork chops to local fresh seafood in season such as shrimp, oysters, scallops, crab legs, and fresh spot. Plus mash potatoes and gravy, green beans, field peas, potato salad, French fries and slaw. Of course There’s also breakfast all day, and sandwiches as well as appetizers. So when you’re ready for vegetables and mixing with the locals who eat here most days, come and enjoy home cooking and — let your hair down!
Very sweet wait staff, Nadia. Quick service with a smile and casual conversation.
Food was good, as usual. Service was bad, as usual. If they improve the wait staff it would be awesome. I hadn't been there in a couple years because of the bad service. I found tonight that nothing had changed.
Started off with tasty hushpuppies. 3 of us had the $16.99 Shrimp special, unlimited shrimp and sides. First batch was grilled then lightly battered for the next. Tarter sauce was home made awesome sauce! Cocktail sauce was way too hot but good. We had the sauteed spinach, fried, slaw, mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms. 1 of us had chicken tenders. Everything was great. When we got there Ashley was the only waitress and we had to wait awhile. She was very sweet, apologizing for the wait. Then a couple other girls came in and Ally helped wait on us too. Great job girls! Great place to eat! May come by for breakfast in the morning on our way home and will eat here next time we're in town.
Great local food and inexpensive!
My first time here. The food was good and the staff was pleasant. I'll be back.
Owner was friendly and the seafood was not overcooked. As a matter of fact, it's the best southern style beach seafood restaurant in North Carolina.
Honestly the most outstanding food I have had in awhile! I recommend Big man breakfast if you have a good appetite it’s very good. And very refreshing!
I've always had good service and good food here.
The food was so greasy that my wife nor I could even eat any of our meal. The hushpuppy's were old and they tried to fry them again and all they did was soak up all the oil.The trout we ordered was on the verge of going bad.We sent the food back and the manager still charged me thirty dollars for a glass of ice tea let me correct myself a half a glass of ice tea more or less.If you are lucky enough to be reading this before you and go and waste your money at the captain's table Go find a hotdog vendor you will get much better food
The food was excellent the service was great we r coming back Monday week
Cute little place. Service was fantastic. Had the best shrimp and grits! Prices are very reasonable.
The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Would eat there again.
The shrimp has always been very good .one of my favorite places to eat.
This is a small but yet interesting place. For the people who enjoy a small country Town experience with a touch of the coast this would probably be the best place in Morehead City to eat breakfast the people are fantastic. And the service is wonderful as well as the food.
If you like canned green beans, instant mashed potatoes and store bought frozen sea-food, this is the place for you. Being on the coast you'd expect fresh food, this place will absolutely disappoint you. My wife referred to the crab cakes as sad-cakes. All deep fried, not fried in a pan. The best part was the cocktail sauce and tarter sauce. But other than that complete and utter sadness. It's dirty like a hole-in-the-wall mom and pop shop but tastes like McDonald's frozen food. Do not recommend.
We have been coming to Morehead City NC for almost 50 years and never heard of this place. All I can say is Thank You Google. The staff who were also the owners were some of the nicest people I have ever been served by, I felt like family. The food was to die for everything was homemade and the hands down best seafood I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and eat here you won't be Prices were great and I am stuffed.
I don't know if I was just craving garden food, or what? I have to state, I'm very happy my co-worker and I chose Captains Table for our lunch!!Those field peas were so good, and the fresh, fried okra was so tasty!! The batter was so light, unlike anything I've had before...Not heavy at all. They weren't just dipped in corn meal and fried. I would Love another plate of those!!Bridget was a wonderful waitress. The atmosphere was a Very cozy place to sit down for a quick bite. That blackened salmon was seasoned just right too. From what I could tell? This Truly was a local's eatery. They usually know where the good places are!
Ate there a few times before I moved here . Good food and good service
